- Hello,
-
- I had a rather frustrating experience today with WW 3.1 R2 and I'm wondering
- if it's a WW problem or a Workbench problem...
-
- I was working on a document with WW in auto-save mode. After a couple of
- saves, I got a message saying "Volume [Floppy Name] Full," with a choice at
- the bottom of the requester of either "Retry" or "Cancel." The floppy to
- which I was saving was indeed full, so I picked "cancel." But the requestor
- wouldn't go away, no matter how many times I clicked on it. And obviously,
- just clicking on "Retry" would give me some disk activity, and then the same
- message.
-
- I then tried formatting an empty floppy in my external drive and giving it the
- same name as the full volume. But then, when I put the blank disk in df0:, I
- got a "Please Replace Volume... in Drive df0:" message. Finally, after a few
- such attempts, I found that WB has just locked up, and I had to reboot (and
- lose my document!! :-/
-
- Is this a WB problem or a WW problem, and is there anything I could have done
- to avoid losing this doc?
-
- Thanks for hints!
